“I Pianacci” offers hospitality in four apartments, which can sleep up to four people each.
All four apartments have been renovated in compliance with the traditional architecture of our area. The materials and building techniques employed reflect the style of the old country-houses typical of our hills.
The furnishings, in the “Country” style (arte povera) lack none of the comforts of a modern house.
The rent includes bed and bathroom linen.
The cooking area is completely equipped for four people, with three gas rings, one electric ring, fridge, sink, etc.
Biking is an important tradition in the Valdinievole, where there are a great number of amateurs, clubs and biking experts.
The variety of the local landscape gives us a rich choice of tracks which can go from comfortable straight roads to sharp bends, to low and high gradients. In any case, bike lovers will be able to discover unexpected pathways, enchanting shortcuts, and routes which are anything but monotonous.
There are many tracks for mountain bikes crossing the ancient roads that connected tiny villages and hamlets. It is easy to reach all the Valdinievole from here and for the experts among you, connecting to other valleys through the woods can be an interesting experience.

This apartment can be reached from the common-room staircase and has an entrance into the living room, which has a sofa that can be converted into a double bed and a cooking area, leading to the bedroom, which is characterised by it's stonework, and bathroom.
Our love for horses, both raising and training them, are the speciality of our Holiday Farm, which founded it's activity in this sector over 20 years ago.

At present we have 9 horses with different characteristics, depending on whether or not you wish to spend a day on horseback: we can cater for everyone, from beginners to experienced riders.
The Valdinievole is a historical area of passage: pilgrims, men of arms, and merchants of all times have walked across its lands. Today, along the main road of communication which crosses it and connects the capital city of Tuscany, Florence, to the main coastal resorts starting with Viareggio, you will come across a widely urbanized territory.
Our woods and valleys will plunge you into the past. A lot of things here are uncontaminated and far away from civilisation. The woods can offer walks through itineraries and mule-tracks which date back hundreds of years.
The itinerary “Valle del Pescia” represents a fundamental link between the system of routes through the Svizzera Pesciatina and the hills surrounding Lucca and those of the natural reservation called Padule di Fucecchio (Fucecchio Swamp) and from here, the ancient Via Francigena which in ancient times was the road travelled by pilgrims who were crossing Tuscany on their way to the Eternal City.
This itinerary allows you to cross the western Valdinievole lengthwise, starting from Pescia, along the riverbed of the stream bearing the same name, to the Padule basin. It crosses several municipalities: Montecarlo, Chiesina Uzzanese and Ponte Buggianese. In a few places you have to be careful because you need to cross some very busy roads, but the route that follows the river-bends and crosses numerous little bridges offers a wide view of the Valdinievole and surrounding hills covered in olive groves.
Naturalists will be able to detect examples of swamp wildlife (such as white or grey herons) and, in the spring, some beautiful plant species like the water-lily and yellow iris.
I Pianacci Holiday Farm is situated in the heart of Tuscany, in the Valdinievole area, on the upper part of the hill I Pianacci, 3 km above Uzzano, a suggestive medieval town that dates back to the beginning of the 12th century.
The Valdinievole extends from the city of Pistoia to Lucca and its typical Tuscan landscape includes many towns and hamlets which date back not only to medieval times but to the Renaissance, places of artistic interest, natural spas and centres for entertainment.
The climate is always milder with respect to other areas in the Tuscan countryside, because of the proximity with the coast, which is only 40 km away.
The position is strategic, pleasant and relaxing, not to say magical, and is at the same time very close to all the most popular and interesting tourist attractions: Montecatini Terme (12 km), Monsummano Terme (15 km), Pescia (6 km), Collodi (8 km), Vinci (30 km). Florence is only 56 km away (and can be easily reached on the A11 motorway Firenze-Mare), Lucca is 25 km away and Pisa less than 40 km.
